The study addresses the socioeconomic incidents, vulnerabilities, and adaption strategies of the fishing community in Shariatpur, Bangladesh, in response to climate change. Bangladesh's geographical and climatic conditions make it highly sensitive to the effects of environmental change. These consequences have had an enormous impact on the lives of coastal fishermen. The study focuses on two communities, South Char Atra and North Char Atra, where quantitative and qualitative data were collected
through individual interviews, focus group discussions, and interviews with key informants. The study emphasizes that the fishing community is particularly vulnerable to climate variability, with challenges such as extreme weather, poor healthcare systems, limited access to financial services, and reliance on natural resources. These risks are exacerbated by socioeconomic factors such as poor education, unsuitable housing, and a low income. The study proposes strategies for strengthening these
communities' resilience by adopting targeted interventions that improve resource accessibility, upgrade financial capital, and promote the use of sustainable fishing practices.
